This position involves driving a Class A, single axle, or tandem axle day cab with a capacity of 45,000 lbs. The primary responsibility is delivering materials to and from customer shops and job sites, ensuring accurate, timely, and courteous service. The role requires maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver logbooks and vehicle condition reports, and operating the truck safely. The driver will also be responsible for inspecting truck equipment, conducting pre-trip inspections, operating slide side curtain trailers, and securing loads. Additionally, the position may involve assisting with loading and unloading trucks, verifying items and quantities during delivery, and reporting variances. Occasionally, the driver may be asked to perform standard warehouse duties such as receiving, restocking, picking, palletizing, staging, loading/unloading, and operating various forklifts and WMS RF scanning devices. Some data entry computer work is also required.
