About The Position

ARAMCO IMPORTS, INC. is a manufacturing and importing company based in Commerce, CA that supplies high-quality products imported in large quantities from Asia, Europe, and around the world. They specialize in a diverse collection of everyday products ranging from cookware and appliances to toys and specialty food. Their flagship brand, Alpine Cuisine, has been providing innovation, quality, and value to customers for 30 years. We are seeking a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina who thrives working long hours on the road and can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. You must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. There will also be training in day-to-day warehouse processes. When no deliveries are scheduled, training on warehouse processes will be required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid Class A driver's license required
  • 5+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles
  • Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
  • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
  • Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
  • An innate sense of direction
  • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
  • High level of composure and good stress management

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy trucks (tractor-trailers) across long distances, following routes and schedules.
  • Required to drive to trade shows in Las Vegas and Chicago and assist with the setup and breakdown of displays when scheduled.
  • Ensure safe operation of the vehicle, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and reporting any issues.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured for transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, and other relevant information.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding deliveries and any issues that arise.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as refueling, changing tires, and checking fluids.
  • Adhere to all applicable traffic laws and regulations, including hours-of-service rules.
  • Other duties as assigned.
