Drivers are responsible for inspecting mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment, securing cargo, and operating tractor trailers to deliver materials safely and efficiently to customers. They follow DOT and company regulations, maintain accurate logbooks, handle loading and unloading using various equipment, and ensure proper documentation and customer interaction at each stop. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and maintain mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure compliance and operational readiness. Check vehicles before driving and secure cargo for safe transport. Follow all DOT and company safety procedures during transit and delivery. Operate tractor trailers to deliver materials, handling strapping/unstrapping and rag side trailer functions at each stop. Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Maintain accurate log books, obtain delivery receipts or signatures, and collect payments as required.
