Location: Souris Valley Care Center Address: 300 Main St S, Velva, ND 58790-9443 USA Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: 8 Hours - Varied Shifts Job Responsibilities We are looking for a CNA to join our team and be our new resident transport driver! This position is Monday - Friday 8am-430p. CNA duties will be required when not actively transporting residents. Rotating holidays are required. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a clean DMV record and a valid driver's license. Wage is dependent upon experience. This position is responsible for driving the location vehicle to transport residents, according to location standards and procedures. Drives location's vehicle in a safe and courteous manner. Plans most efficient and effective route prior to transportation of residents to and from destination. Follows all state, local and GSS safety rules; ensures all seat belts are fastened prior to moving vehicle. Assists residents in and out of the vehicle. Maintains accurate, up to date records. Complete accurate and timely reports; to include incidents of any kind and shares report with designated staff. Performs daily and preventive maintenance on vehicles; including keeping vehicle filled with gas and checking oil. Documents all completed work and tests performed. This position also helps residents by supporting personal hygiene and daily living needs; providing comfort, transportation and vital sign monitoring. Provides resident centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support and other personal cares. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate. Provides a positive dining experience. Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment; provides range of motion and passive exercise. Documents resident cares and behaviors according to Society policy, procedure and regulations Handles and disposes of linens, soiled clothing or supplies properly; follows consistent hand washing and Personal Protective Equipment use.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a clean DMV record and a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program approved by the location and the state.
  • Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to perform assigned tasks and meet requirements for in-services, training and meeting attendance; must be able to use the electronic medical record for documentation.
  • Ability to measure and comprehend quantities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with frail elderly and driving a vehicle; paid or volunteer experience or leading group activities helpful.
