Be recognized for your work: We recognize and reward drivers who show an unwavering commitment to safety. A CDL Driver at White Cap… Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites. May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites. Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety. Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate. May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment. Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license. Performs other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Ideal Candidate Snapshot A safety-conscious CDL driver who takes pride in customer service, is comfortable handling construction materials, and doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves in the warehouse when deliveries are light. Hours 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM MONDAY – FRIDAY NEEDS These are skills or qualifications the candidate must have to succeed in the role. Requirements

  • Valid CDL (Class B or A) — Class A preferred depending on equipment
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with insurability
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Ability to pass: Pre-employment drug screen Random drug/alcohol testing Physical capability assessments (as required)
  • Knowledge of load securement (straps, chains, binders)
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations , hours of service, and safety logs
  • Strong defensive driving and jobsite awareness
  • Ability to: Lift 50-75 lbs repeatedly Work outdoors in all weather conditions Climb on/off trucks and trailers safely Comfortable with manual labor throughout the day
  • Willing and able to: Work in the warehouse when not driving Load/unload trucks Pick, stage, and organize orders
  • Basic ability to use: Forklifts (or willingness to be trained) Pallet jacks and warehouse equipment
  • Reliability & Professionalism Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong customer-facing professionalism at jobsites Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols consistently Team-oriented mindset
  • Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating flatbed and/or tandem axle trucks
  • Previous experience in: Construction supply , building materials, or industrial distribution Jobsite deliveries (contractors, DOT, municipal projects)
  • Forklift certification (especially rough-terrain or outdoor forklifts)
  • Knowledge of construction materials (rebar, pipe, concrete accessories, erosion control, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask between driving and warehouse duties
  • Mechanical aptitude (pre/post-trip inspections, spotting issues)
  • Comfortable using: Scanners Basic inventory or ERP systems
  • Willingness to: Help wherever needed on slow driving days Learn new products and processes Step into increased responsibility over time
  • Positive attitude and problem-solving mentality
  • Openness to: Early mornings Occasional overtime during peak construction season

Responsibilities
