What You’ll Do: As a CDL B Delivery Driver, you will operate Tropic Supply trucks and vans to safely deliver HVAC and refrigeration supplies across Florida. You will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach customers efficiently while embodying Tropic Supply’s commitment to excellence and customer service.

Requirements

  • CDL B License with Hazmat Endorsement
  • Medical Certificate and Clearinghouse Registration
  • At least 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience in the last 3 years (or 2 years in the last 5 years) and general warehouse experience.
  • Must be at least 25 years or older.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and Timely Deliveries: Operate vehicles with 3-ton+ capacity, following established routes to deliver materials to our customers and carrying pick-up books and properly following receipt handling procedures.
  • Vehicle Care: Perform daily vehicle inspections and cleaning, ensuring safety and reliability on the road.
  • Efficient Cargo Handling: Safely load, unload, and inspect items for damage, using equipment like sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
  • Customer Connection: Build strong relationships with our customers, providing friendly, reliable service that reflects our core values.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist with warehouse tasks, Including but not limited to safely operating a sit-down forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks and participating in annual warehouse inventory.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, bend, push, stoop, squat, and climb, lifting up to 75 lbs as needed. Capability to drive for up to 11 hours, working an average of 50 hours per week transporting hazardous materials and sitting for extended periods in a truck.
