About The Position

The position is for a Truck Driver (CDL Class B) at GDIT in Seattle, WA. The driver will operate medium duty vehicles such as box trucks and stake-bed trucks, hauling merchandise and equipment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading cargo, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintaining trip logs and manifests, performing vehicle safety inspections, and participating in warehouse operations. The role may require overnight or extended trips and involves maintaining related records and participating in special projects as required.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B Drivers License.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Drives medium duty vehicles such as box trucks and stake-bed trucks.
• Hauls merchandise and/or equipment.
• Loads and unloads vehicle cargo in accordance with weight guidelines and limitations.
• Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• May make overnight or extended trips requiring irregular hours.
• Maintains related records including trip logs and manifests.
• Performs vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance and servicing of the vehicle.
• Participates in Warehouse Operations.
• Receives and ships program material.
• Participates in special projects as required.
