Driver CDL Class B
About The Position
CDL Class B Driver The Miller Lumber Company is seeking safety-oriented Class B or Class A CDL drivers to make deliveries to residential and commercial job sites across the region, frequently utilizing truck-mounted forklifts. Job Duties: Material deliveries utilizing company trucks with truck mounted forklifts. Acts as customer service liaison. Handles customer concerns and helps to resolve issues as they arise. When not on the road, assisting in the lumber yard - loading customers, staging orders, and any other tasks needed in the operation of the yard. Typical delivery destinations will be in the tri-county region of Central Oregon. We offer a competitive wage, depending on experience, with flexible scheduling and the opportunity for overtime pay. This is a full-time position. Shifts run between 7:00am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
Requirements
- Have current Class B CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of safety procedures while performing driving and material handling tasks
- Team player and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks
Nice To Haves
- 2+ year CDL driving experience
- Forklift certification (can be acquired on the job)
- Lumber, hardware, and other building material knowledge is a plus, but not required if motivated to learn.
