Requirements

  • 2 years of driving experience utilizing Hazmat & Tanker endorsement required
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • Qualify for a Passport and TWIC card. (financial assistance available)
  • Workdays and occasional weekends as needed.
  • Safety consciousness and understanding of safe work practices for operating in different environments.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Successfully pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle.
  • Stable work history, please include a 10-year work history on the application.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport products to and from locations year-round.
  • Partner with dispatch in safely transporting both hazmat and non-hazmat materials.
  • Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations.
  • Report maintenance issues to Dispatch.
  • Driving between 10 to 12 hours per day.
  • Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and others.
