Requirements

2 years of driving experience utilizing Hazmat & Tanker endorsement required
Valid CDL-A license
Qualify for a Passport and TWIC card. (financial assistance available)
Workdays and occasional weekends as needed.
Safety consciousness and understanding of safe work practices for operating in different environments.
Read, write, speak and understand English.
Successfully pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre- and post-trip inspection of the vehicle.
Stable work history, please include a 10-year work history on the application.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently transport products to and from locations year-round.
Partner with dispatch in safely transporting both hazmat and non-hazmat materials.
Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations.
Report maintenance issues to Dispatch.
Driving between 10 to 12 hours per day.
Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at all safety meetings and ensuring safe behaviors of self and others.
