SUMMARY We have an immediate, Full-Time opening for a CDL Boom Truck Driver - Class B (minimum) who would like to build a career serving our customers from our branch location in Poughkeepsie, NY. We look for dynamic people who: are hardworking, team-oriented and take initiative have great attitudes, high energy and enjoy focusing on customers can communicate well, set good examples and comfortably take the lead will hold themselves accountable for doing a great job everyday are interested in elevating their career with a company who genuinely cares about them Qualifications & Responsibilities: Strong work history and a clean CDL B (minimum) Ability to safely load, secure and unload materials Experienced ability to safely perform local commercial deliveries Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to move or lift up to 100 lbs., frequently Forklift and/or Moffett experience preferred; remote control boom experience is a plus! Ability to read and interpret documents, work orders/invoices, logs, manuals, etc. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned Maintains necessary certifications and credentials Successful completion of: pre-employment DOT drug screen, DOT physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, and MVR driving review. We value over the road travel (OTR) experience, however, this position does not require over-the-road deliveries at this time. We value drop and hook experience, however, this position does not require drop-and-hook deliveries at this time. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but are not limited to: Loading materials onto a delivery vehicle with the assistance of other personnel and mechanical devices including forklifts. Driver must frequently load his/her vehicle alone. Driving delivery vehicle to a customer jobsite. Unloading materials at the jobsite, in most circumstances, unassisted. Materials must be covered so they are protected from any inclement weather. When not delivering materials, driver will work at various tasks in the warehouse including but not limited to: stocking/organizing inventory, servicing walk-in customers, receiving materials from manufacturers, cleaning, etc. BENEFITS: Our employees work a great daytime schedule and our drivers are home every night!
