About The Position

The Driver Assistant works closely with the Driver and project team to support the safe and efficient transportation, delivery, packing, and installation of high-end furniture and artwork. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients while maintaining company standards for care and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in moving, packing, delivery, or customer service is a plus.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good communication skills with team members and clients.
  • Basic math understanding for inventory, measurements, and packing needs.
  • Valid Texas ID or driver’s license preferred (not required to drive but may be beneficial).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 75–100 lbs.
  • Requires dexterity in hands and arms to use tools and equipment.
  • Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling furniture or artwork is beneficial but not required—training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Driver with loading and unloading client property, ensuring all items are handled with care.
  • Support packing, wrapping, and installation of furniture and artwork in accordance with company standards.
  • Follow directions from the Driver or Project Coordinator on job sites.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, tools, kits, and materials.
  • Participate in the documentation process (e.g., tagging, inventory, labeling).
  • Help conduct condition reports, take photographs, and track items as directed.
  • Learn and apply proper handling techniques for high-value, fragile, and irreplaceable items.
  • Be proactive in damage prevention during transportation and installation.
  • Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times.
  • Exhibit professional and respectful behavior with clients, team members, and vendors.
  • Report any incidents, damages, or client concerns to the Driver or Project Coordinator immediately.
  • Support setup and breakdown of job sites, including tools and equipment.
  • Attend training sessions and participate in team meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
