Job Summary The Driller will safely operate Griffin drill rigs and direct drilling crews during installation and removal of dewatering systems. The Driller will also assist as necessary in completion of the overall project as directed by Project Superintendent.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-placement drug screen and satisfactory background check.
  • Prior dewatering experience and water well drilling experience with various drilling methods.
  • 1-3 years’ experience operating and maintaining drill rigs and crews.
  • Percent of Travel Required – 50-75%.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the construction industry would be an asset.
  • Background in dewatering experience would be an asset.
  • State well driller license holder is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Certified.
  • TWIC Card.
  • CDL (Class A or B).

Responsibilities

  • Advanced operation of Griffin drill rigs and methods including: Bucket Auger Hollow Stem Auger Sonic Wash Rotary Air / Dual Rotary High Pressure Jetting Gus Pech Bucket Rig
  • Complete all project tasks according to Griffin SOPs and JSAs.
  • Complete all job required paperwork including boring logs, well logs, pump tests, system startup and abandonment documentation, etc.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, pumps, fusing machines, and electrical equipment.
  • Safely assist in maintaining orderliness of project site.
  • Safely operate diesel powered hydraulic lifting equipment; (skid steers, forklifts, front-end loaders, tow motors, pump hoists, and track dumps)
  • Follow all directives accurately and efficiently.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Follow specific instructions and carry out tasks in a safe manner.
