We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Driller Assistant to assist with geotechnical drilling operations, supporting soil exploration, well installations, and site investigations. This role involves operating, maintaining, and transporting drilling equipment while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and company procedures. As a Driller Assistant, you will support the drill crew chief in performing drilling services, assembling and disassembling equipment, and ensuring that testing and drilling requirements are met. Responsibilities include operating various tools and equipment, maintaining drilling rigs, assisting with site cleanup, and preparing necessary reports and documentation. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and capable of working outdoors in varying environmental conditions. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with the possibility of overnight and weekend work, as well as travel to project sites—both locally and out of town, depending on business needs. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in geotechnical drilling, equipment operation, and fieldwork in a growing industry. Important Note: This is a physically demanding, labor-intensive role. Driller Assistants regularly work in challenging weather conditions, and must be capable of lifting, carrying, and operating heavy equipment and materials throughout the day. The position involves extensive walking, standing, bending, and kneeling, sometimes for long periods of time. Candidates must be prepared for hands-on, manual work that requires stamina, physical strength, and a high level of situational awareness. Success in this role requires not only technical know-how but also a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a physically demanding, high-activity environment.
