Who we are looking for: As a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician, you will help ensure public safety by traveling to construction sites to inspect the contractor's work, and perform basic field soil and concrete tests under the direction of other F&R technicians or engineering professionals to verify the work is performed in accordance with project specifications. With minimal paperwork involved, all inspections/observations and test data is input on smart phones/tablets in the field for immediate transmittal to our Project Managers for review. Currently recruiting candidates from Columbia, MD and Frederick, MD. Requirements

• High School Degree or GED required
• Class B CDL required, Class A CDL preferred or able to obtain after employment
• State-issued well driller certification preferred
• 2+ years’ experience providing drilling services
• Experience with HSA, SPT, mud rotary, and/or rock coring highly desirable
• Ability to problem solve, accessing roadblocks with poise and control
• Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution and follow-up
• Should have basic math skills
• Good customer relations skills
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must be able to write legibly
• Must have ability to follow instructions
• Must be willing to work on a team or independently when need be
• Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
• Must be able to drive company vehicle in accordance with F&R’s Vehicle Fleet Safety Policy.
• Must submit to and pass DOT screening requirements at hire and for duration of employment
• Ability to travel overnight (up to 65% or greater)

Nice To Haves
