Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot bolting/scaling equipment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Capability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies
  • Must be able and willing to work in an underground limestone mine environment with room heights of 27 feet tall and a year-round temperature of 50-60 degrees
  • Must be able to operate scaling/bolting equipment safely and efficiently in a tight, underground environment
  • Must be able to conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment and workplace exams
  • Must be able to visually evaluate roof and rib conditions
  • Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic
  • Available to work 10-12 hrs M-F, Saturdays and overtime as business demands dictate
  • Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
