About The Position

What You'll Be Doing Operate and maintain roof bolting equipment to ensure accurate measurements and requirements Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.

  • Must be able to work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies
  • Must be able and willing to work in an underground limestone mine environment with room heights of 27 feet tall and a year-round temperature of 50-60 degrees
  • Must be able to operate scaling/bolting equipment safely and efficiently in a tight, underground environment
  • Must be able to conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment
  • Must be able to visually evaluate roof and rib conditions
  • Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic
  • Available to work Saturdays and overtime as business demands dictate
  • Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
