Driller Assistant Technician

About The Position

The Driller’s Assistant/Technician position is to assist in ensuring drilling operations are executed in accordance with the drilling plan from implementation, completion, and abandonment of drill sites. The Technician works with the Driller/Operator and crew in preparing the equipment and site for the drilling operation, setup, and breakdown of drilling sites, which includes repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing which are done throughout the normal workday. This individual promotes safety and reports safety problems, incidents, accidents, or irregularities. Acts as a member of a team. All field positions require the operation of company vehicles and are classified as Safety-Sensitive. Candidates who receive a job offer must successfully complete and receive clearance on a 10-panel drug test, alcohol screening, Fit-for-Duty evaluation, and provide a current Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Requirements

Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (No DUI in the past 5 years or major incidents). We are currently recruiting Class A drivers and experienced Driller Assistants, in Environmental Drilling or Rotary Drilling, only.
Must be willing to travel extensively.
Ability to pass a yearly physical and random drug test.
Mechanical ability to do minor repairs.
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

HAZWOPER, Forklift, CPR First-Aid Certifications Preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip inspection.
Set up a control zone.
Perform physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniques.
Maintain equipment.
Ability to fill in for driller when qualified.
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures
Maintain all certifications required by the Industry or OSHA
Forklift trained.
Performs other duties as assigned.
