About The Position

12 Hour Shift Essential Functions: Condition VAR electrodes and ingots daily Ingot / electrode drilling daily Ingot / stub saw cutting daily Ingot chamfering daily Prep ingots and electrodes for next stage of process Crucible, base plate and stub cleaning daily Inspect fork trucks & cranes daily Sort/pack and ship condensate daily General plant cleanup daily Maintain chamfer booth Package chamfer sludge for processing Complete drill / chamfer pm's Book lab samples into STAR Enter surface ratings in STAR Maintain drill / chamfer OEE daily Clear VAR hot racks Transport electrodes to VAR Weigh and dispose of "Chamfer rings" Complete processing of cut requests

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalency is required
• Strong learning aptitude required
• Good problem-solving skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Requires detail-oriented individual with good organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Additional college/technical schooling or equivalent work experience is preferred
• Experience using mobile equipment highly preferred.

• Ingot / electrode drilling daily
• Ingot / stub saw cutting daily
• Ingot chamfering daily
• Prep ingots and electrodes for next stage of process
• Crucible, base plate and stub cleaning daily
• Inspect fork trucks & cranes daily
• Sort/pack and ship condensate daily
• General plant cleanup daily
• Maintain chamfer booth
• Package chamfer sludge for processing
• Complete drill / chamfer pm's
• Book lab samples into STAR
• Enter surface ratings in STAR
• Maintain drill / chamfer OEE daily
• Clear VAR hot racks
• Transport electrodes to VAR
• Weigh and dispose of "Chamfer rings"
• Complete processing of cut requests
