About The Position

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers. VTP is looking for a Dressing Change Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in hospital settings. Flexible Per Diem Schedule: This role is ideal if you want consistent work on Tuesdays while keeping your weeks open. You’ll self-schedule your Tuesday shifts and may pick up occasional extra days, with at least 30 days’ notice for any additional opportunities. This per diem opportunity is ideal for nurses who want to step away from the normal hustle and instead focus on meaningful patient interactions, vascular access device care, and ongoing support in a mobile care setting. What You’ll Do As a Dressing Change Nurse with VIC the PICC, you will:

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an active, unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years of nursing experience , with recent bedside, home health, or SNF experience preferred.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field.
  • Experience with vascular access device care (dressing changes and PICC/midline maintenance).
  • Possess a valid driver’s license , auto insurance , reliable transportation , and a smartphone for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dressing change services for patients with vascular access devices such as PICCs and midlines
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Monitor for complications and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Educate patients, families, and facility staff on PICC and midline care, infection prevention, and proper maintenance
  • Accurately and promptly document all care using electronic systems
  • Collaborate with Vascular Access Nurse Consultants and facility care teams to support patient care plans
