About The Position
The Dredge Operator 3 position is a critical role within the Division of Parks & Watercraft at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). This position is primarily responsible for operating heavy equipment to maintain dredge material relocation areas (DMRAs) and to support lake improvement projects. The operator will engage in the removal of sediment and aquatic vegetation from waterways, ensuring the health and accessibility of Ohio's natural water resources. The role requires the operation of various dredge-related equipment, including tandem dump trucks, pickup trucks, and semi-tractors with trailers, to haul stone and protect shorelines and dikes. This position is based at Grand Lake Saint Marys State Park, located in Auglaize County, Ohio, and offers a starting hourly pay of $21.63, with potential increases over the first four years of service, culminating in a maximum salary of $24.66 per hour.
