About The Position

California Builder Services (CBS) is a specialized consulting firm that provides essential services to builders and land developers of residential subdivisions. We are a team of dedicated professionals who act as expert facilitators, guiding our clients through the complex Department of Real Estate (DRE) approval process to help them bring their projects to market. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DRE Department Assistant to provide support to our DRE team. This position will primarily assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, organizing, and tabbing project packets, as well as answering incoming phone calls and supporting various departmental needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain office experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with a strong likelihood of transitioning to a full-time position in the future.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
  • Prior administrative or office experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Scan, tab, and prepare project packets for outgoing delivery
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with filing, organizing digital and physical documents, and maintaining project records
  • Provide general support to the DRE Project Assistant and department staff
  • Perform other miscellaneous office duties as assigned
