About The Position

The DRE - BIW Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and release of BIW upper body components and subassemblies, utilizing parametric modeling with NX. This role involves close collaboration with external suppliers, internal stamping plants, and vehicle plant body shops to ensure that manufacturability, cost, and material performance align with project milestones and vehicle functional objectives. Key duties include developing and managing CBOM and quadris for subassemblies, creating Source Package technical documentation, and leading technical reviews with suppliers and internal Stellantis teams. The engineer will also define and track engineering validation plans (DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA) and coordinate physical testing. A critical aspect of the role is providing onsite plant launch support to diagnose, root cause, and implement corrective actions for assembly, build variation, BSR, fit and finish issues, or any launch-gating problems. The position requires ensuring all designs comply with internal standards, vehicle performance targets, and regulatory requirements, as well as effectively communicating project status, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams.
