We are seeking a part-time teacher with content specific expertise in drawing and painting, with the ability to teach a range of 2D media and foundational art practices. Responsibilities include developing engaging curriculum, guiding students through creative processes, and fostering a classroom environment that values experimentation, technical skill, and personal expression. Candidates should demonstrate a strong studio practice, and a passion for teaching adolescents. The candidate will teach three semester courses. Each semester-long class meets three times a week in a rotating block schedule. Bay's block schedule allows students to delve deeply into problem- and inquiry-based learning across all courses.
