Production Associate (Drawer Fabricator II) - 1st Shift

Schedule & Pay: 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 3:15 PM ; Friday 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM OT after required as needed Salary Grade C $19.20 - $22.40 Job Summary: The Drawer Fabricator II is responsible for performing all of the functions of the Drawer Fabricator I and a wide variety of other processes in the fabrication of cabinet drawers.
Responsibilities
- Reviews paperwork, prioritizes work and assures that drawers as well as parts are consistent with paperwork.
- Sets up and operates chop saws to cut drawer fronts, sides and backs.
- Sets up and operates dovetailers.
- Sets up drawer fronts, sides and backs in preparation for assembly.
- Glues and assembles drawers as well as puts through press.
- Sands and drills drawers as needed.
- Assembles drawers including stapling bottoms, attaching drawer guides, attaching stiffeners, file bars, etc.
- Inspects drawers for flaws or defects and takes defective drawers to the Drawer Administrator.
- Assures all accessories are with drawers i.e., spice rack, cutlery tray, etc. and takes drawers to appropriate area upon completion.
