About The Position

A Drawer Box Assembler builds, rails, and fronts drawer boxes for cabinets.

Requirements

  • Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, drawer front types
  • and styles
  • Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushing
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to
  • 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Use air tools, hand tools, jigs, and other equipment to build drawer boxes,
  • prepare dummy fronts, and install rails/clips onto completed boxes
  • Use glue to assemble drawer boxes and hot melt glue to attach rails to boxes
  • Ensure quality specifications are met for all aspects of drawer box assembly
  • Use a computer system to perform building and fronting of the drawer box
  • Accurately interpret production labels
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned
