AK General Contracting Corp is a reputable construction company serving the Long Island area, specializing in commercial construction and site development. We are currently seeking an experienced Drainage Technician to support our growing commercial project portfolio.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Drainage Technician with experience in commercial drainage systems. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing storm water and underground drainage systems at commercial job sites throughout Long Island.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in commercial drainage or underground utilities
• Experience with excavation and underground piping installation
• Ability to read construction drawings and site plans
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial storm water and sewer drainage systems
• Perform trenching, grading, and site preparation for drainage installations
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grading layouts
• Ensure compliance with New York State and local building codes
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light excavation equipment
• Troubleshoot drainage issues and implement effective solutions
