Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a Drainage Project Engineer to join the team in Chicago, IL or Aurora, IL office. This is not a remote position. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in with emphasis in hydraulic modeling.
  • Stormwater design experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or the ability to secure Illinois PE within 6 months of hire.
  • Proficient knowledge in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Strong attention to details and thoroughness in completing tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions
  • Demonstrated responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Northern Illinois stormwater experience
  • ENV SP; CPESC; CFM; or ability to acquire.
  • FEMA permitting and INDR-OWR experience.
  • Computer skills: Bentley Open Roads or Autodesk Civil 3D software, HY-8, XP-SWMM, SRH-2D
