Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college
  • Engineer Intern (EI) or Florida Professional Engineer license (PE)
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer/ Microstation /GEOPAK
  • Familiarity with FDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and with large multi-discipline engineering teams is important .
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas

Nice To Haves

  • Desirable modeling experience with ASAD, ICPR/ Stormwise , HY-8 or HEC-RAS

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing roadway drainage engineering designs including project research, basin delineation, storm sewer layouts, storm water management facilities, plans preparation, quantity estimates , and post design services.
  • Compile and coordinate of engineering documents including permit packages and design documentation reports
  • Coordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi- discipline engineering teams
  • Prepare drainage plans and review shop drawings to support project design and construction documentation.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations throughout the design process.
  • Ability to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling is a plus.
