Reasons to work with Whipple : Top Industry Wages Great medical, dental, and vision plans with minimal out-of-pocket expenses & Employer paid life insurance Vacation Package & Holiday Pay 401K retirement program with company match Company Vehicle and Uniforms Year-round work Employee development and advancement opportunities What You'll Do: Respond to residential service calls for backups, slow drains, sewer odors, and recurring clogs Diagnose issues by identifying affected fixtures, line locations, and probable blockage types Use drain‑cleaning equipment including: Handheld and drum machines Sectional machines Hydro‑jetters (portable or truck‑mounted) Sewer cameras and locators Clear lines, verify flow, and perform follow‑up camera inspections Document findings with photos/videos and provide clear explanations to homeowners Present repair options such as jetting, descaling, spot repairs, or full sewer replacements Maintain a clean, organized service truck and restock materials daily Complete job notes, invoices, and closeout procedures accurately Participate in rotating on‑call shifts for emergency drain issues

Requirements

  • Must possess 2+ years of progressive plumbing and/or drains experience
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record (company vehicle provided during working hours)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great with customers and educating them on all options
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of safety compliance
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Able to handle physical workload, lift and carry 60 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Boiler Experience preferred
