Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of two years in drain installation
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of drainage systems, pipe materials, and installation techniques.
  • Skills: Proficient in using hand and power tools; ability to operate specialized equipment (e.g., drain cameras).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, stoop, bend, squat, open doors, and climb/ descend stairs. Operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, copier, fax machine or scanner).
  • Environmental Conditions: Drain Installers travel to a variety of worksites every day in a company vehicle. May work in varying temperatures; inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness. May work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust. May be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights.

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair drainage systems, including sewer lines, stormwater systems, and wastewater pipes.
  • Assess properties to design and implement effective drainage solutions.
  • Perform pipe excavation, layout, and installation using industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Inspect existing drainage systems to diagnose issues such as clogs, leaks, or damage.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and plumbers on larger projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all installations and repairs.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as drain cameras, hydro jetters, and trenching tools.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining work processes and addressing client concerns.
  • Document work performed, including materials used and project timelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on job sites and in company vehicles.
