About The Position

We are currently seeking a draftsperson for our Structural department. Candidate should be self-motivated, energetic, organized and a team player.
Candidate should have the ability to work closely with engineering staff to develop project structural drawings including plans and details and the ability to develop drafting standards with guidance and direction from engineers.

Requirements

• 2 years minimum drafting experience
• Degree or course experience in Technical design, Civil Engineering, or similar Architectural program, or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience with structural drafting in AutoCad and/or Microstation required.
• Architectural drafting/modeling will be considered
• Experience with 3D modeling in Revit Structure and/or Bentley Structural Modeler preferred
• Familiarly with US National CAD Standards (NCS) preferred
• Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles
• Familiarity with system design concepts
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements
• Review and modify existing drawings as necessary
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions based on project needs
• Collaborate with other drafters and team members to ensure consistency and efficiency in drawing production
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology
