About The Position

Join our CGI team in a dynamic environment supporting the US Army Customer ensuring that soldiers have the necessary tools to support their missions. Create and update technical documentation using CAD tools to ensure that engineering documentation represents the transformative changes of our world. Learn and contribute to the team's success in an evolving and challenging environment. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Requirements

  • At least 13 years (10 with a degree) of CAD drafting experience, to include at least 3 years' experience in mechanical applications.
  • Experience using CAD drafting software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with military and industry standards to include ASME-Y14.5, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34, ASME Y14.35, ASME Y14.100 and MIL-STD-31000.
  • Experience using Adobe products.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and teammates.
  • Must be able to shift priorities as customer requirements change.

Responsibilities

  • Review, develop and update military technical drawings using applicable military and industry standards to include ASME-Y14.5, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34, ASME Y14.35, ASME Y14.100 and MIL-STD-31000.
  • Document drawing deficiencies and effectively communicate requirements to customers as necessary.
  • Incorporate Engineering Change Proposals written against a variety of Aviation and Missile system technical drawings.
  • Develop and/or update technical drawings/models using AutoCAD, Microstation Connect, Solidworks.
  • Develop 3D model files from 2D documentation and/or actual equipment.
  • Produce accurate and compliant 2D documentation from 3D model files.
  • Participate in physical and functional audits of test equipment hardware.
  • Experience using Windchill environment is plus.
  • Communicate with customers and coworkers to resolve issues.
