  • Experience creating detailed technical drawings using parametric modeling techniques to support design and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles and standards (ASME Y14.5); ability to read and apply GD&T in engineering documentation preferred.
  • Able to modify existing drawings and/or create new drawings quickly that meet drawing quality standards.
  • Able to collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to obtain information to ensure drawing clarity.
  • Able to contribute to drawing reviews.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD system software.
  • Excellent knowledge of drafting standards.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

Communication with engineers of any problems or concerns is expected so that the engineer can resolve or correct the problem.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T standards in technical drawings to ensure accurate communication of design intent and manufacturing requirements.
  • Utilizes acquired knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and other physical sciences to check drawings. Communication with engineers of any problems or concerns is expected so that the engineer can resolve or correct the problem.
  • Drafts detailed technical multi-view drawings of parts with direction from engineers as required.
  • Utilize parametric modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to develop detailed technical drawings for manufacturing and engineering purposes, with minimal assistance and supervision.
