About The Position

Creates mechanical designs for electrical products in response to a design specification or as directed by engineers. These designs may be of a very innovative and creative nature and involve multiple product lines. Basic understanding of materials and manufacturing capabilities used at manufacturing sites. Participates in identifying and recommending product design changes or improvements. Performs design verification tests as required in the laboratory including authoring test requests based on UL or CSA guidance and summarizing results. Comply with and support environmental, health, and safety policies to maintain a safe workplace and compliance with government regulations.

Requirements

• Associates degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 year's experience in manufacturing or engineering environment
• Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Cleveland, TN will be considered
• Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD systems
• Experience with drawing vault software (Enovia)
• Experience leading teams or coordinating production
• Experience in designing 250VDC+ systems
