About The Position

Walker Consultants is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drafting Technician to join our Seattle office. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to support a wide range of restoration and repair projects. From developing Revit models and construction drawings to assisting with field investigations and condition assessments, you’ll play a key role in turning technical concepts into real-world solutions. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in drafting OR Associate degree in Engineering/Architectural Technology, Building Construction Technology, or a related field, OR relevant drafting certification.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (required).
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team-first mindset and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in structural, architectural, or construction disciplines (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project drawings and construction documents in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD based on redlines/markups, following Walker and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage detailed 3D models in Revit.
  • Coordinate drawings with internal design teams and external clients.
  • Assist with field condition assessments, documentation, and developing repair solutions.
  • Support project managers by reviewing construction progress, preparing field reports, and completing punch lists.
