About The Position

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Drafting/CAD Technician II. Type: Contract Overview Join a global engineering and drafting team supporting large-scale manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on converting legacy 2D drawings into coordinated 3D models and developing equipment layouts using Revit and AutoCAD. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate building and process equipment data into unified models—no new design work required. Requirements

  • 1+ year of drafting experience (architectural and/or mechanical)
  • Hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ability to interpret redlines, field measurements, and engineering inputs
  • Strong attention to detail and 3D spatial awareness
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Navisworks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into accurate 3D Revit models
  • Build coordinated facility models from legacy drawings and datasets
  • Create equipment layout drawings to support installation and planning
  • Update models based on redlines and engineering feedback
  • Perform field verification of dimensions and existing conditions as needed
  • Integrate architectural, construction, and engineering datasets
  • Maintain organized model files for reuse and revision control
