About The Position

Join our team as a Drafter! This is a role based out of our Denver office, in Westminster, CO. The position is a salaried role and includes eligibility for overtime pay. Matrix is seeking entry-level drafting professionals to join our team in Westminster, CO. Ideal candidates for this position will have a solid foundation of experience with CAD-based software and a strong aptitude for learning. Good written and oral communication skills, desire to grow and expand in experience, and willingness to learn cross discipline design are required for this position.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (AAS) or Certificate in CADD software, or related field required.
  • Entry-level to two (2) years of experience in the industrial design arena.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD - preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client-established safety standards when appropriate.
  • Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
  • On small projects, interface with the client as necessary to obtain and communicate project information related to project design parameters, schedules, and budgets.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation to include proposal, project log record, Work Breakdown Structures Report (WBS), memos, letters, meeting minutes, scope changes, and associated documents.
  • Gather field data and prepare project specifications.
  • Coordinate design activities of other team members in preparation of the construction documents.
  • Prepare construction scopes of work, bills of material, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary construction documents for projects.
  • Maintain and/or develop positive client relationships on projects assigned.
