About The Position

As a Drafter, you will play a vital role in transforming sales orders, customer drawings, and construction documents into precise and accurate building drawings. You will collaborate closely with structural engineers and senior drafting personnel, working together to create exceptional results. Your key responsibilities will include: Creating neat anchor bolt/permit drawings according to engineering designs and specifications for customer orders. Preparing shipping lists and shop drawings for manufacturing. Reviewing and verifying all parts are correct for manufacturing. Following the manufacturing schedule and meeting project deadlines. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic math skills and working knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
2+ years of drafting experience.
Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
Working knowledge of CAD Software.

Nice To Haves

Experience drafting architectural buildings, mechanical drafting, or metal buildings.
Associate degree in drafting or estimating.
Experience in steel construction or non-residential construction.
Experience with MBS software.

Responsibilities
