About The Position

We are looking for a Drafter for our DeLand office! The Drafter-Sublet will primarily be responsible for the accuracy and quality of sublet shop drawings and bill of materials in accordance with Kingspan standard drafting procedures. This role involves reviewing, peer checking, and occasionally altering sublet produced shop/installation drawings of Kingspan insulated metal panels in various applications including commercial, industrial, cold storage, and architectural. The Drafter will ensure that all departmental guidelines and protocols are followed, with particular attention to delivering high-quality, on-time inputs. Additionally, this position will help build and maintain strong relationships with functional counterparts in Estimating, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service/Project Management. The Drafter will also liaise with customers and other external entities to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of the scope of work. Essential duties include training and educating sublet drafters on Kingspan standard products and processes, obtaining and interpreting information from internal order acknowledgments and customer-supplied structural and/or architectural plans, conducting quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials, and ensuring business rules pertaining to the drafting department are followed. The Drafter will coordinate panel analysis with Kingspan engineering personnel, review and update drawings to customer redline corrections as needed, produce bill of material (BOM) lists in company format from final approved drawings, and provide take-offs on every project to verify material that will need to be ordered by customer service.
