About The Position

Primary Purpose Uses SolidWorks to provide support to engineers by developing layouts, drawings and designs that meet engineering specifications. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Work directly with design engineers to produce 3D models and 2D drawings Make revisions and corrections to existing drawings when requested and as needed Design parts based on written and verbal descriptions from design engineers Work closely with the production plant to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and are error free Further develops 3D models based on input from Design Engineers Actively participate in company and departmental continuous improvement programs May perform other duties as required and/or assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in the use of SolidWorks weldments through work experience or education
• Must have very proficient GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) skills with high confidence of its application; a minimum of 3 years required or a certificate of knowledge based skill sets, both are preferred
• Understanding of sheet metal in manufacturing and ANSI Weld symbols
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill necessary as well as the ability to multitask and work in a strong team setting
• Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Preferred: Associates Degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting
