Requirements

• Drafting and Design Degree or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in 2D or 3D drafting using Autodesk products.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical drawings.
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry and their applications.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software including applications such as AutoCAD 2017 edition or later or Inventor 2017 edition or later.
• Must have excellent listening skills and be able to follow instructions.
• Must have excellent math skills.
• Must have active learning skills.
• Must have the ability to see details within close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• Must have the ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are rearranged.
• Must have the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Must have the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Regular and on-time attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAD software to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
• Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent shelter plans.
• Layout and plan interior room arrangements with the help of the Designer using AutoCAD software.
• Determine procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.
• Create blocks from specifications sheets as required.
• Setup viewports for details as required.
• Adhere to drafting standards set by the engineering department.
