About The Position

Emerson has a Drafter and Document Management Specialist role available at their Rosemount Specialty Products location in East Wenatchee, WA. This role reports to the Design Engineering Manager and offers the chance to work on a high-impact team focused on designing custom products that perform in the harshest environments from deep in the ocean to outer space. Emerson is continually innovating to meet the evolving needs of their customers, and this work is done along the Columbia River in the North Central Cascade Mtns. This area provides many opportunities for hiking, skiing, fishing, mountain biking, river rafting and so much more.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Drafting or another technical field
  • 0 – 2 years of experience as a Drafter
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Access to export-controlled technical data, meaning only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) may be considered
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
  • Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire
  • MUST be US Citizen or possess a Green Card

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience as a Drafter
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • SolidWorks Experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilize CAD software and drafting knowledge to produce complete technical drawings
  • Produce detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and schematics to provide solutions in accordance with customer requirements and ASME Y14 Standards
  • Coordinate and consult with engineers to complete projects on time
  • Transform initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software
  • Work with the Document Management Specialist in generating and ensuring the accuracy of Engineering Change Orders and Certifications of Conformance
  • Work extensively with engineering regarding engineering design and quote files
