About The Position

The Valet Attendant (Primary position) who is responsible for parking and retrieving guests’ passenger vehicles is called upon to fill the position of Transportation Shift Manager (Secondary position). The Transportation Shift Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Transportation Department. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of Valet or related guest service experience preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year supervisor experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have proficient computer skills.
  • Must be able to drive all types of vehicles.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve vehicles from guests and complete retrieval slips.
  • Park vehicles in appropriate area and give car keys and retrieval slip to Valet Dispatcher.
  • Handle guest vehicle safely and cautiously at all times.
  • Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
  • Handle all aspects of the transportation operation including the Porte Cochere, valet garage and lots during limo and shuttle services.
  • Ensure Transportation Services staff behavior and appearance is in compliance with established policy.
  • Ensure customer’s problems/complaints are handled in an effective, courteous manner.
  • Directly supervise staff.
  • Responsible for scheduling breaks and maintaining employee break records.
  • Handle on-site vehicle damage reports.
