The Department of Public Safety and Corrections consists of two main divisions: Corrections Services, which oversees the custody and care of those serving a prison sentence for a felony conviction, and Community Supervision, which oversees the supervision of individuals who are on state probation or parole. The Secretary, appointed by the Governor, serves as the Department's chief executive officer. The DPS-Office of State Police has three vacancies for which no experience or training is required. This position is located in the Physical Security Section in the Department of Public Safety and Corrections/Office of State Police in East Baton Rouge Parish.
