Dozer Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Operate a dozer to support stripping activities, including overburden removal and site preparation. Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly. Maintain safe and efficient work practices in active quarry and stripping areas. Coordinate with stripping crew members to meet daily production and sequencing goals. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Requirements
- Demonstrated capability to safely operate heavy equipment in a production environment.
- Strong awareness of surroundings and ability to work safely in active stripping/quarry sites.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and effective communication.
- Ability to adapt to changing ground conditions, priorities, and operational targets.
- Reliability and consistency in supporting crew schedules and production needs.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
