About The Position

The Dozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of bulldozers to perform tasks such as grading, leveling, excavation, and site preparation for construction projects. This role requires precision equipment control, an understanding of grading techniques, and the ability to work closely with other crew members to ensure projects are completed to specification, on schedule, and in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers to move, grade, and level earth, aggregate, and other materials.
• Read and follow grade stakes, project plans, and instructions from supervisors.
• Cut slopes, grade to specified elevations, and prepare surfaces for construction.
• Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections of equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as greasing, checking fluids, and cleaning the machine.
• Adjust blade angles, height, and tilt to achieve desired grading results.
• Maintain awareness of job site conditions, obstacles, and personnel to ensure safe operations.
• Coordinate with ground crews, graders, and other equipment operators to maintain production efficiency.
• Follow all company safety protocols, DOT/OSHA regulations, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with general labor duties when dozer operation is not required.
