About The Position

Piper Companies is looking for a Downstream Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company located in Frederick, MD. The Downstream Scientist will be responsible for executing and optimizing purification processes, supporting technology transfer to commercial manufacturing, conducting small-scale purification studies, and analyzing experimental data using MVDA tools.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in downstream process development or technology transfer in biologics manufacturing within a cGMP pharma or CDMO environment
• Proficiency in chromatography, viral inactivation, filtration, and UF/DF operations
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline

Responsibilities

• Execute and optimize purification processes including chromatography, viral inactivation, filtration, and UF/DF
• Support technology transfer of downstream processes to commercial manufacturing
• Conduct small-scale purification studies for process characterization and optimization
• Analyze experimental data using MVDA tools
