About the position

This position is for an Operator Technician in the Downstream Operations at our Winchester Kentucky facility. The Operator Technician will follow the direction of the team leader and overall direction of management, operating process equipment, opening/closing valves, monitoring process conditions, and making adjustments as needed. The role requires ensuring that work performed is accurate, timely, efficient, and compliant with company policies, plant SOP's, cGMP regulations, and FDA regulations. The technician will report quality deviations or non-conformances observed, monitor batch production records throughout the extrusion process, and troubleshoot issues with process or equipment independently. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and/or cycle time is expected, along with performing on-the-job training for new and developing operators and ensuring cleanliness of process areas. Collaboration with other departments is also a key component of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Able to troubleshoot issues with process or equipment independently and initiate appropriate action when deviations occur.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, safety and/or cycle time.
  • Perform on the job training for new and developing operators.
  • Ensure cleanliness of process areas.
  • Collaborates effectively with other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing and/or distillation environment
