Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
• Hands-on expertise with downstream unit operations (e.g., centrifugation, membrane filtration, chromatography) and process development for large molecules
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Proven ability to work independently in a hands-on laboratory setting
• 0 - 2 years of industry experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Perform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine products and process intermediates
• Prepare solutions/reagents and sample submissions to analytical partners
• Set-up process equipment for lab-scale experiments
• Maintain laboratory inventory of chemicals and consumables
• Maintain records and experimental results following good laboratory practices (GLP)
• Conduct second-person review of experimental notebooks and technical documents
• Communicate scientific information through oral presentations and written documents
