About The Position

Our exciting and growing business is looking for exceptional Downsizing Specialists to work with our clients throughout the Triangle area. Downsizing Specialists assist in creating a compassionate, efficient, and positive experience for each of our customers. The Downsizers is the leading full-service move management team in the Triangle, specializing in serving the senior community and individuals in transition. We proudly serve the entire Triangle region (including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Hillsborough, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding areas). The Downsizers work in private homes, apartment complexes and senior communities. Many of our projects are physically demanding and occur under tight deadlines. Some projects take place under emotional and challenging situations. Candidates need to be adaptable and compassionate. The Downsizing Specialist will support the Project Manager and Team Lead, as well as work with a team of other Specialists through completion of the project. This will include all facets of move management services (including sorting, packing, unpacking, donations and consignment assistance, overseeing junk haulers, and organizing personal items as well as loading and unloading of company vans). Through our proprietary system, PLAN - SORT - PACK - SETTLE, our team works with a variety of client projects and situations to help the emotional and physical challenges of sorting through memories, downsizing, moving, liquidating belongings, and working with family members throughout the entire process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Manager and Team Lead to implement customized Move Plan and Timeline for all client projects
  • Prepare for projects by reviewing project, team and client notes
  • Responsible for driving 14-ft ProMaster High-Roof Van
  • Responsible for loading/unloading supplies before and after projects, as needed
  • Provide highest level of client service
  • Assist clients to determine which items to keep, donate, gift, sell, or discard
  • Professionally pack all items, coordinate with movers, and assist with unpacking and getting client settled in their new home
  • Initiate and maintain communication with Project Manager and/or Team Lead throughout project
  • Utilize project management tools for timely completion of move
  • Provide feedback to Project Manager and/or Team Lead for the best possible service to clients
  • Complete online, in-office, and on-site trainings
  • Participate in Team Meetings
  • Read and respond as needed to Team Updates and emails
